About Dr. Taylor

John Taylor, DO, has been practicing medicine for over 35 years and is proud to offer his skill set to patients at Doctors Clinic in Amarillo, Texas. As an osteopathic physician, Dr. Taylor focuses on everything from preventive care to regenerative medicine and treats patients ages 20 and beyond.

Dr. Taylor received his Bachelor of Arts from Howard Payne University in Brownwood, Texas, and completed medical school at Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine and Surgery in Missouri. He went on to complete an internship at Dallas Osteopathic Hospital in Texas and also trained at the Fulton Missouri Maximum Security Mental Hospital in Missouri.

He holds medical licenses in both Texas and New Mexico and is a member of various organizations, such as the American Osteopathic Association, American College of Advancement in Medicine, American Association of Stem Cell Physicians, and American Osteopathic College of Prolotherapy and Regenerative Medicine. 

Dr. Taylor has a particular passion for new medical technologies and is a co-developer of the TP-109 Hyperbaric Oxygen Chamber, which allows patients to breathe 100% pure oxygen. His focus on regenerative medicine includes research on stem cell therapy and prolotherapy, which treats arthritis. He also studies chelation therapy, which removes heavy metals from the body, treating heart disease and memory loss.
