EDTA
Chelation Therapy
EDTA
(ethylene diamine
tetra-acetic acid) is a man-made amino acid with a particular affinity
for
toxic metals such as lead, mercury, cadmium and aluminum.
When
EDTA comes in contact with such toxic
substances, the material is sequestered, and then secreted in bodily
wastes (“chelated”).
Chelation
has been used by
hundreds of physicians around the world for many years many
different uses.
Because
of increased exposure to heavy metals, the popularity of
chelation has
rapidly been increasing.
Chelation
also aids in the
reversal of atherosclerosis – the excessive build up of plaque in the
arteries.
The
theory is that EDTA stimulates parathyroid activity in
redistributing
calcium in the body in which the calcium in the arterial plaque is
removed by
way of a series of intravenous treatments.
EDTA
chelation therapy is a
safe and painless IV treatment that is administered on an out-patient
basis.
Each
treatment runs from 30 minutes (often called European Chelation)
to 3
hours (American Chelation).
Here are just a few of the
many benefits of chelation:
- Improved
circulation
- Reduced blood pressure (if elevated)
- Normalization
of
cardiac
arrhythmias
- Fewer
excessive
heart
contractions
- Reversal of Alzheimer’s
symptoms
- Cold
extremities
warmed
- Improvement in Chronic
fatigue
syndrome
- Improved
memory and
concentration
- Post-cataract
vision improved
